Beautiful slabs of Portland Stone were individually pre-sized to align with the geometry of the penthouse, and required careful placement to maintain the correct width of shadow gaps.

They drain between slabs, and a threshold drain is formed beneath the overhang of the step. The step occurs across the threshold to reduce the perceived height of the existing upstand between the interior of the apartment and the exterior terrace.​
