Scaffolding & Leadwork

The scaffold covering a large period building shows the ingenuity and complexity required of the scaffold designer. It is much larger than the actual building, and takes its support and access all the way down to the ground at the rear of the building. This necessitated a series of extended trusses to step over the increasing projections to the rear of the building whilst maintaining the security and integrity of the internal spaces on the lower floor. The full over-roofing then allowed for the intricate and beautiful leadwork and slate work for the re-roofing to be undertaken under cover.
